The Propad Premier Overlay is light weight andsuitable for those consideredat ‘High Risk’* of developingpressure injuries, making it idealfor the homecare environment.

The design of the overlayalong with the retaining strapsenables it to fold to a quarterof its size, ensuring ease ofhandling and transportation.

Facilitates easy storage and delivery. Carrying and retaining strap ensures ease of handling and transportation.

Cover

Cover is multi stretch, water-resistant and vapour-permeable and helps to prevent a build up of shear and friction forces. It also features an anti-slip base.

Foam

The Invacare Propad Premier Overlay has a foam core that has independent, geometrically-cut surface cells. This significantly reduces shear and friction whilst increasing the support surface area, thereby reducing peak pressure.

Foam cells

The foam core has larger, more supportive cells at the centre and smaller cells at each end. This enables the mattress overlay to achieve even weight distribution by conforming to the shape and form of the body and cradles bony prominences.

A range of assessment scales can be used as a formal method of assessing risk from pressure ulcer development, and should be used in conjunction with an informal assessment (informed nursing judgement). Informal assessment is considered to be of greater importance and clinical value.
