Effective pressure injury prevention

The core of the Invacare Essential Plus is constructed from a series of 'keyhole cut' cells, which move independently to evenly distribute weight, promoting greater comfort and facilitating pressure injury prevention.

Cover is resistant to fluid ingress

The outer cover is a multi stretch, water resistant, polyurethane fabric providing excellent recovery and durability which helps to reduce shear and friction forces. The cover has a white inner liner allowing easy inspection for strikethrough or other cover damage.

A range of assessment scales can be used as a formal method of assessing risk from pressure ulcer development, and should be used in conjunction with an informal assessment (informed nursing judgement).
