With the ErgoMove technology, pressure care is at the heart of the NordBed Optimo Wide, giving clients the best The wider size allows space for plus size clients and also accommodates clients who require additional space when repositioning themselves in bed.

High SWL for plus size clients

The NordBed Optimo Wide is available in 105 cm wide with a Safe Working Load (SWL) of 235 kg and 120 cm wide with an increased SWL of 285 kg.

RememberMe

The programmable LCD handset can be adjusted to fit the client’s needs. Both the ErgoMove and the Up-and- Out feature can be set to the clients preferred position. Programming the ErgoMove and/or Up-and-Out features will reduce the need to reposition the client as the buttocks are kept in position.

ErgoMove technology

Specifically designed to bring the client from a lying position to an active sitting position comfortably, with a push of a button. The active position promotes client function, such as eating, drinking and reading.

Up-and-Out

Up-and-Out feature can be used with a simple push of a button, to bring the bed to a safe height for transferring in and out of bed. The movement mimimises movement and support independence and mobilisation.

Design

Available in a variety of modern bed end styles, wood finishes and painted surfaces. Depending on the need and personal taste the NordBed Optimo Wide can be configured with side panels, side rails and more.

Ease of handling

NordBed Optimo 120 cm can be dismantled to three parts, ensuring ease of handling, and can be easily delivered single-handedly.

Optimised dimensions of mattress support

Length of the mattress sections has been optimised to accommodate for average adult anthropometric body measurements, (back of pelvis to knee crease) allowing the profiling sections to fit to and support 95% of the average adult population.

Under bed light

Supporting fall prevention the NordBed Optimo is available with an under bed light, reducing the risk of falls during the night.

Optional Anti-trendelenburg and Trendelenburg

Support care staff when repositioning the client in bed, and can be easily used to adjust and redistribute pressure.

Ideal for refurbishment

NordBed Optimo Wide has an option to be specially adapted to withstand cleaning in a washing machine.

Hand control

The handset has been designed with the most frequently used buttons in easily identifiable colours. These colours have been chosen in collaboration with experts.

To assist the client, all buttons will light up when any button is touched for easy recognition during the day or night. To ensure easy selection, the most frequently used are positioned at the top of the handset.

The adjustment features (such as: backrest angle) are placed below the up/down buttons. For the client’s safety all handsets are lockable as standard. A locking system has also been added to the handset to prevent unwanted tampering with the controls, helping ensure client safety.
